Blame or change

“When you blame others, you give up your power to change.” Unknown
I once read an article about how to participate in a conversation about rugby if you don’t know anything about the sport.  Rule number one was:  “Always find something or someone to blame, normally the ref.”
Somehow we think it is in order to blame others for our own failures or shortcomings.  How are we ever going to get to the point where we can take responsibility if we constantly shy away from taking responsibility?  It’s not about being a victim; it’s about having an opportunity to change.
