Waiting is not something we are good at. Granted we live in a time known for instant gratification. Fast food outlets are everywhere to be found. Food is cooked or heated in seconds in a microwave. An email is received within seconds from the sender clicking ’send’ on the other side of the world. Digital Cameras ensure we don’t have to wait until a film is developed. Written letters posted with a postage stamp is something unheard of. We don’t even write proper sentences, we use sms language.
Contradictory to all of this, we have to wait for the really good things in life! No wonder we are so impatient. Waiting is an art that all of us can master with practice.
